CAFÉ TERRACE:
The Dutch artist Vincent Van Gogh executed this wonderful oil painting Café Terrace at Night. It hangs in the Kröller-Müller Museum. After his painting faced success among people he shared his feelings to his sister through a letter. He mentioned in the letter about his success and the way the cafe appears in real. He also expressed that he has become quite good about painting things on the spot. This was the café that the author himself and his sister used to go.
EXCELLENCE OF THE CAFÉ TERRACE:
This painting was earlier titled as Coffeehouse, in the evening which was then changed to CAFÉ TERRACE. This is the first painting that the artist used to draw starry backgrounds. The artist continued to paint star-filled skies in Starry Night Over the Rhone (painted the same month), and the better known The Starry Night a year later.
THE STARRY NIGHT
Vincent Van Gogh took painting at night as a challenge. And the result was CAFÉ TERRACE & THE STARRY NIGHT. He gave more importance in absorbing the color of the night sky along with a little of light in yellow shade. The painting THE STARRY NIGHT played a major role in the 1990 album WRONG WAY UP by John Cale
